I've been following Acho since he was signed as a FA from the Cardinals. If you take the time to go into his personal story about his charity work in Africa with his family you will realize that he is a very special person.
But he is getting the point where he is a bit pricey for what he contributes on the field. Just like Zach Miller, I hope they find a way to keep him around.
Dude is a super great person. If they can bring him back i hope they do. When he is done w/football I hope they can bring him back as a PR person, or community relations b/c he's a legit giving person.
More cap money. It will be interesting to watch how the Bears spend their money this year.
I hope VERY CAUTIOUSLY. This team doesn't have a lot of holes and spent huge money (Prince, Fuller, Robinson, Gabriel, Burton, Goldman, and of course Mack) last offseason. They have to extend Whitehair this summer and will have contracts for Floyd, Jackson, and Trubisky coming up over the next few seasons. We need tweaks this offseason and thats about it. Consider that, with reliable FG kicking, we would probably have gone 14-2 and been in the Super Bowl.
I hope Pace is freeing up cap to re-sign Callahan and Amos (at least 1 for sure) and isn't planning to be active in FA. Acho has very little market value so very likely they will be able to get him back on a cheaper deal this summer if they want/need him. We only really need a kicker (late draft/UDFA), a RB (draft), and a CB (draft).
I see very little need to spend money on vet FAs at this point.

The team loves him and with good reason. He's a solid backup OLB and STer and has been a great ambassador off the field and in the locker room from what I've read. I would expect him to be re-signed this summer after all the dust settles.

+1 I hope you're right and he comes back to the team.
