Mitchell Trubisky had a 85.9 passer rating. Not really a good game. So the ball goes to Howard.
One of those games where stats don‘t tell the big picture, though. Mitch made big plays, stretched drives on third down sucessfully and had a mistake free performance overall. Our rushing game was effective enough for us to push it in the red zone instead of the riskier passing plays, so that‘s why he didn‘t get TDs.
Saying Mitch didn‘t play a good game today is just... wrong.
I'm not saying he played bad. More like a Game Managing QB with some great extending plays. Can't really ask more from an inexperienced QB. That's the reason why he doesn't get the game ball.
Howard deserves it with Hicks being a close second.

I‘m not arguing he deserves it more than Howard or Hicks. I‘m saying he DID have a good game, contrary to what you argued in your previous post. I can‘t remember much passing from the Bears in the red zone today -as I said they didn‘t need it- but the little I remember, i.e. the two point conversion, Mitch looked good. I‘m pretty sure he had got a couple of TD had we opted to pass instead of running... we just didn‘t need him to today. When we needed it, he delivered.

It certainly felt like a +100 passer rating game.
And did it without his top 2 receivers. How about Wims stepping up though with some key catches. I don’t think he’s deserving of a game ball but he deserved to be on the list of nominees!
I'd give it to the offensive line. They have gotten better as the season progressed. Long played well today. Howard benefited by some good blocks on many of those positive runs. On a side note, for a 7th round pick rookie, Wims looked like he belonged today. I'm not saying he was great, but he did look decent today.
The officiating seems to get worse as the NFL season has progressed. It's not just with Bears games. Almost every NFL game I've watched this season has been a clown show for the refs. Worst season for officiating I've ever witnessed. The NFL should be ashamed of this situation. The game is high-tech to the max now with replay and even has the super-brain-trust in New York reviewing plays/calls - yet the officiating is at an all-time worst level. JMO.

Also, the officials still show favoritism to certain teams.

One thing I learned about Nagy is this: Regardless of the situation the Bears are going to play to win. I think we were so used of coaches like Smith resting players in the past.. Not anymore.
