yep. It is our only weapon. That's what I would do.
Well.... Glennon could be a weapon, but you would have to make his head pointy and throw him like a spear.
The problem is that the Bears don't have any WR that can catch.
WIth all due respect BF, thats just bullshit. These guys hereafter are not starting material but are decent backups, and should bring more in the passing game than what we saw vs Steelers.

Wheaton and Wright SHOULD bring more to the passing game, but neither has. Wright has 2 drops out of the 6 in the first 2 weeks, and I'm betting Wheaton had 2 of the 4 drops in Pittsburg. Both of those guys should be the downfield threats, and both haven't lived up to it. I know they weren't brought in to be THE guys also; I know the idea was for Meredith and White to be but it never worked out that way. Wheaton/Wright need to step up b/c Bellamy/Thompson aren't going to turn into legit nfl starters ever. And quite frankly Sims/Miller/Shaheen need to start getting into the game in the 10-20 yard range also.
Glennon's showing to be far from great, and not even average, but you have to take your shots downfield to keep the def honest, and these WR's aren't even great at breaking tackles for yac either, so get them 8-20 yards downfield and it won't matter as much.

IMO, it's really the game plan. And while it worked against Pitt, I don't think it can work every week. One dimensional teams are easy to beat. You can beat any RB. Look at the Lions even when they had Sanders. They almost always lost. All they had to do is shut him down. If teams could shut down Sanders, they can shut down Howard. And that is not meant as any disrespect to Howard at all. I think he is a stud.
