Callahan was great at Nickel in the 2015 season. He had some good games this season - in particular he shut down Golden Tate in the win against the Lions. He has struggled with injury a lot this year but that doesn't make him "Garbage".
He's hurt too often. Can't stay on the field. While I like what he's done while in there, he has to stay healthy or he's useless. Same thing can be said about Houston and Royal. And double so for Kevin White.
I'm willing to give him 1 more half season to see if he can prove he's a CB . If he doesn't then they need to think about converting him to FS - alot of people seem to think that's what he should be anyways .
( now watch the Bears cut him , only to see the Pats scoop him up and turn him into an All Pro FS )

You can't cut them all, I don't think they are that bad, they just lack a true #1 CB and a great Saftey. Most of the guys we have would look much better in a depth role.
LeBlanc, Hall, Bush and Amos should be the guys that stay and compete. Have a Feeling Fuller will be gone and Porter isn't a sure Thing.

I agree with this. My opinion is Porter has played well above what should realistically be expected of him. The dude's not a lock down #1 corner. He's old. He's slow. He's got a bum knee and a number of other lingering injuries. Still, he was constantly trotted - and CHOSE to come out - to cover the best of the NFL and while he looked meh in some games, I don't think anyone else on this Bears team could have successfully covered who he covered. If Porter isn't forced into that #1 role, I think he could be good until old man time kicks his ass.
I think Pace knew this coming into 2016 but wasn't able to make a good deal happen. Reports were abundant that Pace was simply outbid in his pursuit of Josh Norman and Janoris Jenkins suggesting he was keenly aware of the situation but prudent enough to hold tight the coffers. Maybe that had something to do with his awareness of this year's FAs in the secondary and the strong cornerback class which should work to lower costs across the board. Looking through the FA listings, I've pulled out the cornerbacks and safeties (didn't differentiate between SS and FS as the league is moving the in the direction of blurred lines regarding the two positions) to gawk at. There are a lot of options for Pace this offseason to fix the secondary. These are the FA options. Keep in mind that there's also the possibility of a trade and there's always the draft. Fixing the secondary should prove an easier task than fixing the quarterback situation. Cornerback (average-good)FAs in 2017

If FA was meant for anything this offseason it would be to grab a safety and a corner. I think Fuller is gone as well. Might as well pick up a ST/DB specialist guy while we're at it.
From Belli's list above I would do one of the following:
1. Move Fuller to NB. 2. Sign a tier I FS (Really maybe only Berry and then Jefferson). Draft a great CB like Tankersly from Clemson with great upside 3. Sign a tier I CB like Gilmore or maybe one with slightly less talent. Drafy a great FS like Hooker or Adams.
