I dont think there is any chance of Nick making the team. In fact that would be pretty unfair. PS probably. Not sure about our ILB subs... they are all kind of a question mark, have strengths and a lot of weaknesses
They won't have a choice. He cannot make the 52 man, let alone the 48 when he cannot play. He was likely a bit of an overreach when they took him anyways so I doubt anyone would look to snatch him when no one has seen or heard anything.

I heard that there is a chance that they put him on IR.

I don't know how serious his injury is but that's always an option with a guy you want to keep around and not expose to waivers in order to get him to the PS. They have several more weeks to evaluate that move so we can all play let's wait and see.
In the meantime Timu, whose similar style ILB, he looked pretty good. He just needs to spend more time in front of "JUGS" so he doesn't drop gift picks like he did Thursday. As for Kwiatkoski IMHO, and based on his college vids, this kid can play ILB in the NFL. He's faster than Timu and he's instinctive as all hell. I don't think he's a guy they'll want to lose either even if he's laid up for now.
As for drafting him as opposed to Prescott or anyone else let's not go there. If we replay every draft going back 10 years and picked better we'd have won four SBs by now. It's about as effective as watching porn instead of calling up a hot chick for a date. Hindsight is like looking through ones ass. Our picks can sometimes look shitty compared to someone else's. I liked Prescott too but the draft is over.

You are right in that. So far with Pace I've generally liked wait I've seen so far, especially in the draft. I had guys that I wanted the Bears to take. But if you look at who Pace took, I think he is getting better value and production, top to bottom than most GMs.
This year, I was high as anything on someone like A'Shawn Robinson. But Pace signed Hicks and with the addition of Floyd and Bullard (and the possible final emergence of CornWash), we have a much better front seven than any of us thought we could have.
What sucks is we are in the second year of a 3+ year rebuild. Very frustrating when you have so many positions that need improving.
I just wish we had a QB who looked like an eventual replacement for Cutler.
Good point chuck. JA and Emery left us in a world of hurt less so because they didn't hit on one or two but more because top to bottom very few of their draftees lasted more than a couple of years and did very little while they were here.
Now we're drafting better and those draftees are are beginning to contribute as early as their rookie or second years and quickly becoming the new and future core players. Even if we had drafted Prescott he'd still be sitting behind Cutler for at least one or two seasons.

Timu and Anderson are actually why I didn't like the Nick K pick. After they went out and got 2 beasts like Danny T and Freeman, I thought you would see real growth in both those guys, and I think you saw some of that last week. It didn't have to be a qb(I would have preferred it) could have been any # of positions, but ILB seemed odd b/c you rarely keep more then 4 or 5 on the roster and you had 4 that were guaranteed as is.
