"Based on the fans and the press, the majority view (in my opinion) was to fire Flus. The issue that does not get enough play is whether or not Waren or Poles could fire him. Suffering what we have suffered through is on ownership. I personally believe the McCaskeys are the reason why Flus is still here. There is too much history repeating itself even though the cast of characters under them keep changing."

LOL, I couldn't get the quote thing to work so I just cut-and-pasted that (I think it's from BIH).
The bottom-line is the team is not being successful, year-after-year and decade-after-decade. I really hoped Kevin Warren could be the guy to turn this around, since I've given up on the family selling the franchise. It remains to be seen if he is that guy or not.
We get the same old 1985 Bears team trotted out (the ones who are still alive) as if that somehow is justifying the history since then. It doesn't. And speaking of Bears history, it does get tiring to hear about "the rich history of the Chicago Bears" when nobody cares about it anymore... those were leather-helmet teams in old, grainy, black-and-white photos of dudes who have been dead for over 50 years now. I don't even like to hear that anymore (usually by game announcers who know the game they are about to cover will be the usual Bears crapfest and there isn't much good to say about the losing Bears teams).
