LINK ESPN Leaks Troubling Rumor About Tyson Bagent’s Dad And Caleb Williams
"... Well, it appears Silvy may have slipped up. A person on Reddit noted that the source of this rumor was Bagent’s father, Travis Bagent. This sort of rumor happened last year when Justin Fields was struggling, too. Now, it just so happens to pop up again."

Bagent's dad has nothing to do with Halas Hall, it was a clown show before all this nonsense started. You think he's the only parent/spouse/sibling posting things about twitter/insta/facebook about an NFL team? This is a sportmockery article, its value is literally zero. It quotes reddit as a source and the "source" says its all speculation. Come on, we can do better!
Silvy is the loser and the idiot here. For a "sports journalist" he sure dropped the ball on this one.

Considering that I love Bags’ dad and I even remember watching the arm wrestling reality show he was on (Game Of Arms?) I hope so.
Caleb isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire, this season is lost and I need entertainment so give me some soap operas with this team then.
Serious comment. I do think that Bags has everything necessary to be a good NFL starter. I’d love him to get into 2 or 3 games per year this year and next year. Then year 4 he takes over.

Don’t see him starting over Williams, but that would be just like the Bears to have had the next starter all along. Actually I take it back. They would first trade him and then he breaks all of Brady’s records somewhere else.

It's no different than us kicking around stuff here. It is something to talk about during a dead (at least dying) season. And to be honest, a number of credible beat reporters have come out saying they did not believe the Silvy report - including a couple of the veteran players themselves have denied it being true. Even Brad Biggs from the Chicago Tribune has said he doesn't believe it's true. The reddit guy was just tossing out the fact that Silvy was teasing about getting some news from Bagent's dad and then rolls out the report that some vets wanted Caleb to sit.

Geesh. Tough audience here today
He could still be right. Did Bagents dad ever serve in the military?

That's "it" because this all came out on Veteran's Day 2025. That's 11/11/2025 and the 11th letter in the alphabet is "K" which is the 4th letter in "Erik" - Lambert's first name. I think it's quite obvious that this all adds up to a conspiracy being hatched at the highest levels of Halas Hall and Rodger Goodell is in on it all (the 6th letter in "Rodger" is also the 6th letter in "Lambert"... don't think that is just some coincidence, BIH). Silvy is on to something BIG here... my role was key (someone had to break this story on our messageboard today).
Do you think Virginia M. is part of this too? I shudder to thing about it... it goes all the way to the top if it does. Caleb may never play again. Please run this by the rubber chicken and see if it all makes sense to him. Thanks... cant' be too careful with Sports Mockery stuff like this.

I just really, really dislike sportsmockery. He's a rebundler of stories done legitimately by real reporters and he twists their actual words to get clicks. Meanwhile despite all of us knowing this, a fake report consumed our attention here. There is plenty to talk about without giving attention to Lambert and Silvy.
Topics to discuss that would be better than posting anything from sportsmockey:
(1) How would we like to see Brown change the OFF? What specific changes would we like to see? (I'd like to see more 2 TE sets, with Lewis in as a blocker every single play. I'd like to see WRs in different roles than how Waldron was using them.) This topic alone could cover the front page.
(2) Stevenson or someone else as a boundary corner?
(3) Should Brisker retire or just finish the year on IR due to concussions?
(4) If Poles is fired should they promote Cunningham?

1) Agreed. Waldron was using everyone wrong, and not using guys he should have. Keenan is older and slower, why is he always used as a downfield threat? DJ is big, quick and agile, he needs the quick short routes across the middle. Where the heck is Kmet? Need less Swift up the middle, and more RoJo. Man the predictability of the Waldron O astounds me.
3) He should retire. He can't change his style of play and be effective. If he doesn't change, he'll have permanent brain damage.

1) What he said. Waldron was an absolute CF with regard to personnel packages and usage. It boggles the mind how dense this guy was. I posted this weeks ago--Shane Waldon acted like he had just met his players a few days ago. What the F was he doing all offseason? Did he watch film? Read scouting reports? He seemed to have zero idea what his players did best.
2) Stevenson has had a rough couple games here lately. I'm not too worried especially since Terrell Smith is a solid backup.
3) Bears need to put down the rose-colored glasses and face reality. At best, Brisker is here for another season and a half. You can't pay this guy so you need to be thinking of a succession plan.
4) I don't think Poles is in danger right now though his stock has taken a hit. If we go 1-7 the rest of the year, then yeah I think Cunningham deserves a chance.
