He would be a good DC for a team. If the Bears DL was complete I think this defense would be special. At least when healthy. The difference between being a good coordinator versus being a good head coach is pretty significant. It really is a different coach-player relationship too. This is one reason why hiring a 1st time head coach is not a sure thing slam-dunk hire. It doesn't mean you shouldn't hire a rookie head coach, but you go into that with the realization the guy could be a bust as a HC. And of course it's not a sure thing hiring a veteran HC (John Fox comes to mind).

Well, it could be between whoever asked and Flus/Poles and the other players don't know, but you have to give it some weight as other players would probably know.
If you aren't able to make real time adjustments, you lose a whole half. Then if the other team makes adjustments to your half time adjustments, you lose that half too. And Flus was ok with this? If the players saw it, the HC had to have seen it. If not, that is a problem with a whole other dimension

ha ha ha. This is a perfect troll of us as fans.
Here was how I thought this through: (1) Silvy is a known rabble rouser and has in the past been found not-accurate on stories he has "broken." (2) No other media source (local or national) came out to back Silvy up. Stories that reported on it only quoted Silvy, no one confimred. (Shefler never said what people claimed he said, only that "I imagine it was discussed" which is a weasel-ly way of getting people to pay attention to him.) (3) Silvy was suspiciously quiet afterwards, he never defended himself--meaning (to me) he either made it up or knew he got punked by "a source."
