+1 to your entire post.  And in particular to that statement.  And the heck of it is, that with consistency there will be MORE big chunk plays that come as a direct result of being more consistent.  Get the consistency down first and then the big plays will come.

Can't disagree with any of that.

On Sunday we were at the game and seated in the upper deck towards the corner.  You get a different perspective there than you do at the 50 and very different from TV.

And even I, just a dumb fan, could plainly see that Waldron was sending Keenan Allen out on a lot of deeper go or fly type of routes.  That is NOT his game.  KA was never a burner even as a younger player.  He's even slower now.  He isn't going to outrun anyone.  His game is shifty short-area quickness allowing him to get open underneath and vs zone.

Once again, I am left to wonder why a dumb fan like me can see this obvious misuse of personnel while a professional OC cannot.  And this is just one example.  Misusing Everett vs Kmet is another.  Benching Herbert was a third.  And so on.

It's like Shane Waldron just returned from three years aboard the international space station and is meeting his players for the first time.  He seems to have no idea of their strengths and weaknesses or what personnel packages work best together.

That just blows me away.  WTF has he been doing since he was hired last Feb?  Has he not studied scouting reports and watched hours of film on these guys?  Has Flus not filled him in on his 2 years here?

PS:  Luke Getsy got canned yesterday.  The Bears sure can pick good coaches, can they?  This organization simple sucks top to bottom.  When they do get something "right", it happens by accident.  Everything they do intentionally, they fk up.
