Yep.  Because he can't allow a supporting member to be banned without him asking for his money back.  I did bring that point up in my debates with Loki and Ski to remind them that some of us were paying for the privilege of NOT having a bunch of asswipes messing up the site and should have a bit more say in some of the decisions being made.

I really didn't get a direct answer to that but the lack of one pretty much said, "this isn't a democracy" and that's about when I left.  Oh, and I didn't ask for a refund either.

It's all part of the tradition and we're good at it. It's Point/Counterpoint and I haven't even said Ric, you ignorant misguided slut yet and he hasn't called me an elitist pig.  It's just preseason. It gets even better after we get warmed up. LOLOL  The New York Giants have even approached us about taking the show to NY and working over Eli Manning with it.

I guess the word democracy was a bit strong and misplaced but there was a time when Ski and the others on the staff sought more feedback before making decisions that might have a major impact on the way things operated there.  I can see those days are over and now the quality of the membership has been sacrificed for the quantity of the membership. I only say that for clarification because I have no axe to grind.  I'd already left long ago.

I can guarantee you we're not gonna get political or allow the focus to be on anything but football and even more specifically Bears football so even as the membership expands I don't expect we'll see many fans from other teams here if any at all. It's not that we couldn't welcome them but most would probably be a little chafed by the rules about trolling for negative attention and trash talking.  It spoils all their fun.

Welcome! The previous board had been intolerable for several months.  This board is everything I hoped for. Knowledgeable posters, thoughtful discussions, no personal attacks, and a lot of joking around. Oh, and BearsinHouston too!

and one last thought, no #HashTag, whatever that crap was over there.
