Regardless of whether or not NFL teams can eat part of the contract as in MLB, I can easily see a soft market for Jay.
He's got a lot of miles on his body and hasn't played a whole season in something likr 6 r 7 years. And has a terrible propensity for hanging on to the ball too long.
But we'll see pretty soon. But I would not be surprised to see the Bears having to release Jay and get nothing in return (except a bunch of cap room).
THAT is a myth we've already proven inaccurate earlier this year when I believe it was BB who put a stop watch in him and half the time he wasn't even getting 2 secs to setup, read, and throw. Someone writes that and the boo birds buy it but saying it don't make it so.
If Cutler holds the ball even a split second longer it's due to his arm. Other QBs may have to throw before the break to time their throws. He doesn't and in some cases can't. The ball has too much velocity on it and he'd be leading them by too much. That was a problem he had in the past when Trestman wanted him to do that and his picks went up. Gase corrected it and his picks went down.....way down.
I don't even want to get into the rest because he's one of the tougher QBs in the NFL but when you get hit 20 times a game eventually you get hurt if your a QB. The Bears will do what the Bears do but if they release a talented starter getting nothing in return it will only confirm what a losing organization they've become.

I'm not trying to start an argument with you on this. I am just saying that at this point in time with all his history, you may be surprised at how low his market value is.
I don't think anyone really knows what will happen with Cutler after this season. I do doubt we get much for him in a trade though. But I could be wrong.
Tannehill blew out his ACL . That's a years recovery time minimum . If Gase and Cutty really do have a mutual admiration society then that's the logical fit .
Why ? Didn't Cutty have his best year under the Gasemaster ?
I meant losing Tanny for a year and cutty likely their best option
I'm not 100% sold that cutler had his best year under Gase. It seems like it flips from mr **** You, to Trestman to Gase depending on which story they are trying to pass off w/Cutler.
