+1 And Bears fans have every right to be white-hot angry with the franchise. I didn't expect to see vast improvement yesterday. Heck, I wasn't even sure we could win yesterday. But the Bears franchise couldn't even through us a bone with a team that was showing a tiny spark of improvement. Not even a whiff of improvement. It was a 100% total clown show embarrassment. SHM. Boy it's just a crap franchise. Still.
I am in such a bad mood over the Packers debacle, I am thinking of trolling MP and Whiskey Beer Man about my so-called “man/boy crush” on Jalen Carter.
Yesterday, in his very first game as a pro, he had 7 QB pressures and one sack in only 40 snaps. According to PFF his “win rate” on passing downs was 32%, which is better than Myles Garrett’s average last season. Fletcher Cox has taken him under his wing and taught him some tricks. I am sure Carter is thankful every day to be an Eagle.
As I have said, this will go down in history as Poles’ worst draft blunder, and it won’t take (most) people around here 5 years to see it, although a few would never admit it.
If Poles were even half as good as Howie in managing the roster, the Bears will look more like the Eagles by next season. Clearly, the more “conventional” rebuilds of the Lions, Jags, Seahawks have progressed on a much better trajectory than Poles grand experiment. The coaches he brought in are not getting the job done, either.
Awaiting more incoming crap from MP and Whiskey Man about this….
I actually know a lot of Packer fans that are ex Bears fans... Take the scales off your eyes and find the light:)
I've always respected fans who don't jump to other teams when their own team is losing. Some of these "fair weather fans" even take it to the extreme and jump to whatever team is a fav for the season (you see them change jerseys like I change my underwear). I don't know, maybe it's stupid to sticking with a team that has been backed by generations of your family - but that's "me" and I'll continue to follow the team. I think that was one thing that made 1985 so special for Bears fans. They'd endured a lot of bad years (some as bad as right now... 1969 was even worse I think). But yeah, I'm not jumping to some darling team just so I can say my team is a winner that year.

My first born is a Packers fan. I think it is to spite me as we don't have a great relationship but told me he won an all expenses trip to Green Bay to see em and walked out a die hard.

And do you honestly think that if we drafted him he would have been just as good or better? We could not do anything yesterday with who we have. I doubt sexy Jalen would have pulled up his boot straps and shoved ahead. Throw myself and you in that Eagles line and I am sure we would have had some hurries LOL.
This very shite is why I stopped watching the Maple Leaf's and Hockey in general.
I can't imagine how most of you feel that grew up in the general Chi-town area and were raised on the team by Family and Friends. I try to shrug it off and can still enjoy watching other teams but for you Regional Brothers..... My heart aches.
It does hurt. It hurts a lot... because it looks like there is no hope. Different season but the same old (failed) Bears. Yeah, it hurts a lot. You feel kind of sick inside.
Exactly. My dad took me to the games when I was a little guy and they played in Wrigley Field as he had season seats. We then kept them when they moved to Soldiers Field until I got into high school. When we had our son, I was all in on making him a Bears fan even though we lived in Southern California. He’s now married and living in Atlanta and his wife is a Falcons fan. I told him it’s ok to switch allegiance and he said he can’t do it. Poor kid, I messed him up too. 🤣🤣

I'd cut my kids out of the will if they disowned the Pack... JK
