Unofficially, you can take Tevin Jenkins off the list of players you might want or need to extend next offseason. I can't see Poles being interested in paying a guy who has been hurt a significant amount of time for three straight seasons. Another great "move-up pick" by Ryan Pace, what a useless POS he was.

G/C will be on the wish list for next years draft
Saw a lot of people saying he's injury prone, obviously he is, but also soft. I don't think he's soft. There was a study done some time ago that showed nfl players tend to stay injured once they get injured. My guess is guys on the lines have an even higher reoccurance of injury b/c of the nature of their jobs. Dude never had a chance to get truly healthy. Jenkins inability to stay healthy was exactly why they needed to draft an OT and OG this year.

Yup, I said it in his injury thread. He won't be high on Poles' list to extend and he might even be traded before it is all said & done. He will have only started 13 of his first 36 games once he comes off of IR. You have got to stay healthy & Jenkins is not trending in the right direction. Luckily we should have a mid 2nd round pick which will be perfect on a top 3 G/C.

I was screaming for a G/C this draft. Wanted Tippman but he went earlier than I thought. Then thought for sure we are taking JMS in the late-2nd but apparently they felt he wasn't a scheme fit. The other guy (forget his name) slipped till the 4th. Dunno if he's any good or not.
I do wish Poles had taken one more swing at the position in rd 4 but can't blame him for taking RoJo and Scott instead as both those guys have real potential. Scott needs to hit the jugs machine in the meantime.
Poles has shown a real knack for OLs so far which is why I thought he might draft yet another one after Wright this draft. Last year he took 4 late-round OLs all of which have shown real potential. [BTW, one of those, Zach Thomas, was poached off our PS last season and last I heard he was doing well enough that he was gonna make the roster with the Saints I think.]
I'm gonna guess that this latest injury to Glass Jenkins ends his chance of being a long-term option here. Poles will move on (or make plans to move on) next offseason. Tevin is really good when healthy but I'm sick of his shit too.

That's why I wish they'd give Carter a shot there. Lucas Patrick blows. If Jenkins becomes expendable, maybe you can dump him midseason for a pick.
Terrell Lewis was cut today. He is better than Robinson and Green. Oh, and the kicker is that his replacement is Poles latest lost dog (Kareem).
A) Kareem is FLUS' guy, not Poles. Indy connection and they saw him up close in the recent joint practices. B) Per Gabriel, Kareem is a much better run defender than Lewis, who is a pure situational pass rusher only. C) Lewis may end up back on the roster still. The shuffling process goes on until about week 2. D) Ian Cunningham addressed this in todays presser. They simply value run defense a lot after being worst in the league at it last season.

This is why you don't go on BPA; especially during a rebuild. Need to build via OL and DL and WR, then CB, TE, S, LB and RB. O heavy early def heavy late. Crazy how far LB has fallen, but it goes to show just how pass heavy the league has gotten.
Hopefully he can hit the scrap heap and pull out a useful OG. B/c no doubt Jenkins is gone next year, and I don't think he'll have a guaranteed starting spot this year if they can find someone to replace him.
