Good. Get a young guy w/updside. All Peterman has done is prove he shouldn't be playing in meaningful games; if thats the case bring in a younger/cheaper option.

At the very least, have a backup who won't lose games for you. He doesn't have to be some whiz-bang guy who single handidly wins games, but just don't be a liability who kills you in games. Is THAT too much to ask?

W/the lack of quality qb play, it appears it is, at least for the backups. But thats my point, if you have and are paying a backup premium for a vet, they should be able to keep you in, and have the ability to win games; or if you have a young qb via mentorship. Fields shouldn't need a mentor anymore, and not sure Peterman is much of that anyways. Get a cheap young qb that can do the same job as a shitty backup vet that costs more.
Stunning that the Bears could even get a day 3 pick for Gipson. Says all you need to know about how teams feel about him. Another guy fans over valued.
41 moves as of 3 hours ago, but no the roster is not finalized, cannot be.

Peterman, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bills back in 2017. The Bills made the decision to move on from Peterman in November of 2018 and he eventually signed on to the Raiders practice squad.

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the Bears want to bring Peterman onto the practice squad. I wonder if there is a better option though, with the waiver guys available. Surely there is. Over 1,100 players got cut... gotta believe there is a guy there better than Peterman. Right?

GM's and coaches love their guys, just as much as fans love their teams guys. Sometimes to their own detriment
