He will be a UFA at the end of the season. Here are the details for his contract over at spotrac. If he really wants to get out, it is better if they trade him away. Hopefully, we will get something for him (maybe a 3rd or 4th round pick), and we will save $2.8 million in payout.
After seeing some of the other folks playing off the edge in preseason (most specifically Terrell Lewis), IMO he was probably not going to be re-signed anyway. I am pretty sure that 1 of our two 2024 first round picks will be an edge rusher.

Maybe bundle him with that 4th we have for an interior Olineman. Is there even a deal like that to be made?

Agreed. At first I was a little upset cuz he was playing well this preseason. But the more i thought about it, he wasn't really that much better than Lewis. If he wants out, trade him and get something for him.

I'd be good with a round 3 - 5 pick, and they take responsibility for his entire contract. IMO, at this point in time, we aren't going to get much for him.
