Sounds like he has worked extremely hard this off-season and made significant improvement. He was the LT on the All-Rookie Team last year. He proved to be a quick learner last season, struggling early and improving throughout his rookie season.
Apparently he has taken his game to a whole new level for year-2.
With one of the better LT's in the NFL and now RT Wright as our bookend tackle on the other end of the OL, the Bears have accomplished something major here. These young ascending bookend tackles can be the foundation of a GREAT offensive line for the next decade or so.
Where Bears have seen Braxton Jones improve most heading into Year 2
LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Bears tossed left tackle Braxton Jones in the deep end last season. Jones, a fifth-round pick out of Southern Utah, took on a ton of water early on. He gave up four sacks and 20 pressures in the first six games.
But he never sunk. Eventually, Jones found his level. He played well down the stretch, giving up just two sacks and eight pressures in the Bears' final five games.

I just want to see him anchor against bull rushers rather than get pushed back into Fields’ lap. That happened too often last season. That’s been his only weakness.
