Time for the Chicago Bears to make a change at QB2

I haven't seen PJ Walker do anything positive as a QB for the Bears.  I understand that he was signed because they wanted a backup ho can play a similar game as JF1 does if they need to start the backup QB.

But over his career in the regular season, he has played in 25 games (over 3 years) and has a 57.5% completion and a TD/Int ratio of 5/11.  A W-L record of 5-10 and a QBR of 63.9 (link). 

So far in the 2023 preseason, he is 5 completions for 12 attempts for 25 yards with 0 TDs and 1 INT.  These are terrible stats.  I had to cobble these stats together from various box scores. So if anyone has a decent source of PS game stats, please correct me if I am wrong.  
  
Unless there is something going on with Bagent that we do not see, I feel that we could win games with Bagent as our backup QB.  Obviously Fields is our best QB.  But of the three other QBs on our roster, I feel that Bagent would give us the best chance to win games over the other two.  And PJ Walker would give us no chance at all.

If we cut PJ Walker, we will take a cap hit of $1.66 million and dead cap of $2.01 million (link). Poles and Eberflus preach a lot on accountability and personal responsibility. IMO it is time they show some of both themselves.

IMO they don't have to admit anything.  Just run the Bears like a true meritocracy.  The guys who play better get rewarded with roster spots and playing time.  And the guys who don't effectively contribute get released/traded/etc. 

Regardless of their draft position and/or contract status.

This will be a test on what we really have in Poles. Does he cut PJ and admit he made a bad signing? Or does he keep him and put ego before team.
