This guy is sounding like he has a high ceiling from what I am reading about from people at these practices this summer. At the very least this guy needs to be our QB3. JMO.
After the way he has performed so far, we better make him that special 3rd QB/emergency QB that teams get starting this year. I'd bet that if we tried to put him on the practice squad, he'd get snapped up by another team.

I agree, Chuck. And I'm not saying he's some great QB or anything like that. But maybe he can be developed into a solid backup for us next year and beyond. Surely he's looking like he could be that kind of guy. We won't know until we give him some time to develop. LOL, if nothing else, he's become my training camp hero for this year :-)

Sounds like Bagent could be the next Craig "The Executive" Krenzel for the Bears.

I'd love to get a young version of Josh McCown. Or a bigger version of Doug Flutie would be fantastic. LOL, one can dream, right?

It looks to me that Bagent has climbed above Peterman in the QB room. He was getting reps with the 2nd/3rd teams yesterday at the Colts practice facility where Peterman was getting none.
The next issue is to see how well that Bagent and Walker look tomorrow evening. It's been my impression so far that Bagent is more consistent a passer than Walker.
I'll pass on any player anyone considers the next Krenzel.
There is only one ancient poster who would want that. That's good old 63BearsFan. Man, that guy had a different take on players
I remember him banging on about Krenzel. Called him the start of the next wave of cerebral QBs in the NFL, going to replace guys like Manning and Brady that were all about stats and not team players. I actually think there is a psoter on here who is 63BearsFan. I truely believe that.

+1 LOL, he was a character for sure. What the heck was that convoluted "formula" he used to preach to us? I can't remember except for the fact he was a true zealot. Stubborn old coot.
