Poles, Warren and Eberflus - all three - had a really good interaction prior to coming to the Bears.  I expect that they will all makes some mistakes.  But my hope is that we can watch them build the franchise to where we see sustained winning over the years.  This past week I have been watching some of the playoff games from last year.  Re-watching those teams was a bit shocking in the sense that they are so much better than the Bears.  It isn't that they are better, but rather how much better the talent is, than what we now have.  I watched the Chiefs last two games (the conference championship against the Bengals and the Super Bowl against the Eagles) and those 4 teams are pretty sobering to watch... a reality check for me.  The Bears have a LONG ways to go.  I think we may have the people in place to begin that journey though.

And one last thought.  Continuity is a huge factor in a franchise sustaining winning.  My hope is that Warren/Poles/Eberflus can stay together for the long haul here and be successful. 

The Chiefs have never been in rebuild mode in a decade since Reid arrived and they went from 2-14 to 11-5 in one year.

Can you imagine if it had been the Bears who fired Bill Belichick or Andy Reid?  That would be right up there with how I feel about the Bears passing over Patrick Mahomes to "trade up" to draft Mitch Trubisky instead.
