I read there is now 2 WRs. Both could be intriguing after reading about them, however I'd stay away from the kid from Purdue. He doesn't seem like he'll grasp the playbook from what I saw.
According to multiple reports, former Jackson State wide receiver Malachi Wideman’s application to enter the draft has been accepted. Former Purdue wide receiver Milton Wright is the only other player currently eligible for selection. LINK

I posted the Purdue highlight video for Milton Wright. I'll repost it below. He seems to be able to get open, but I don't see anything that indicates he has real burner speed or outstanding route running skills. To my untrained eyes, he seems to rely on his physical size and strength to make the catch, at 6'3" and 200 he is bigger than a lot (most?) college DBs. His issue at Purdue was he could not maintain his academic eligibility. No details on it so I assume he basically couldn't make the grades. From the limited knowledge I have about Poles, that sounds like a deal breaker for him (Poles).
The other WR who is currently eligible for the supplemental draft is Malachi Wideman who played most of his college ball at Jackson State. He is tall and slender (6'5" and 190). He had to leave school for family/personal reasons. He posted his announcement that he was leaving JSU on instagram. In the comments on the post there seems to have been some issue with a big coaching change at JSU.

When I watch the college videos my first thought is that those guys will be facing defenses that are infinitely better than what they were facing in those videos. There is no way they will be that open. Even the "fast guys" in college will find the NFL defenses can find ways to deal with them - in ways they simply didn't face in college.

And a reminder about getting a player via the supplemental draft. If we use a 5th round pick in the supplemental draft to get a player, we forfeit a 2024 5th round as the cost of doing it.

I wouldn't spend anything more than a 5th on these guys. I would prefer the kid from Jackson State, but by the looks of him he will need at least a year in the weight room.

+1
Given that the guys who end up in the supplementary draft lost their eligibility and/or scholarship for some reason, Any team interested will need to do a deep dive into their situation/background to make sure they are a relatively low risk pick. Not saying we need to do the kind of scrutiny that we put Darnel Wright through, just that there are lots of ways to lose eligibility and/or your scholarship and IMO the majority of the ways are indicative of some personal and/or character issue.
costs us a draft pick next year (5th round)? Unless the guy available is rated at or better than that 5th round pick we'll lose, I'd pass. Also, since the guy is a WR and we seem to have plenty on the roster, he'd have to also be better than our lowest ranked WR. I don't see that. I pass.
