Need to start calling him RossenBOOM. B/c he just dropped a bomb on the Bears and SF.
Lets all face it, in the first half we were all thinking the same thing that he wrote, all of us. The 2nd half allowed for a better feel good story, but really that was a bad football game except for one team for 1 1/2.
I felt like our D was strong and our O sucked.
The D was solid all game long. the offense did nothing until the 2 minute drill right before the half. Once they started throwing the ball some the game was over because it allowed the running game to really get going. Really seemed like a very basic strategy that worked very well. See, coaching isn't hard. Just need to get out of your own way sometimes which Chip Kelly did not. That guy is a terrible NFL coach.

Just like all year and just the opposite of trestmans teams
The biggest problem with Rosenrant is how you have to pick through the rant to get to the more obvious facts that if it was anyone else we were playing but SF we'd probably have been down 14-0 before we had even one first down. Let's not overlook that.
Despite an wholly ineffective offense and defense SF held the ball for over 20 minutes of the first half. It wasn't two separate games even though some would like to see it that way. I know you all aren't gonna want to admit to this either but the ONLY 60 minute game we played all year was against Minny and Cutler actually played that one.
Don't get me wrong. I like Barkley a whole lot better than Hoyer but so far he's played exactly 3 good quarters of football out of 8. Can I be excused if I don't chug the kool-aid and have him fit for a gold jacket just yet? Let's see how he does against some teams that are actually better than we are. We've got four of them coming up. Then we'll talk QB but only after we talk HC.
You are so far off base with your comments. I don't know of anyone who is willing to give Barkley the key to HH. Just about every comment about the kid is let's see how he does in the next 4 games. Your comment is just full of drama that isn't need. If Barkley works out over the next 4 weeks great, and works out doesn't mean win, he just needs to show that he has the heart and drive to be a NFL starting QB, if he can't show that then I hope the Bears just move on to the draft. What your comment about 3 good quarters should read is "Even with 3 good offensive quarters under their belt, I still do not think Loggains is the answer at OC."

I think to sum it up : we've seen some improvement out of him and he MIGHT be worth keeping around but he hasn't really proven anything yet ( and neither has Loggains ) ... so both still have a long way to go .

Off base? Every time any QB not named Cutler gets through a game win or lose without throwing a pick or fumbling half this place and the Chicago sportswriters begin with their fantasies of a "Great White Hope QB" coming to the rescue and all will be well if we just unload Cutler and I don't know how you can claim otherwise if you read what I do.
It's bullshit JJ! That won't get it done either and you know it.
If there's any drama there it simply counterbalances the emotional crap I read here 6 days out of 7 by some posters who think they can size up a room by looking through a keyhole. My comments are in line with what I've seen which is a kid with some poise and intelligence who can move the team downfield far better than Hoyer did and that's about where it ends. The rest is to be determined.
And you already know how I feel about Fox and Loggains so I didn't think there was a need to repeat it again. I want them both gone but it's beginning to look like I may get only half my wish or that we may lose the only ranking coach around there who is getting the job done. Ginny McCaskey isn't the only won whose gotten pissed at this sad ass operation of theirs.
As far as I'm concerned as long as Ted Phillips is CEO and Fox is HC we could wait 'til Halley's Comet reappears before this team wins a championship. I don't like a whole lot about this particular Bears team and they way they're run and I make no bones about that.

Our problems encompass more than just the QB situation. I think most of us fans understand that. There have been problems with the entire Bears organization for decades - from ownership to the front office to the GM (for sure) to the coaches and players. But yes, Jay Cutler has been a part of the problem too. Just a part. The organization needs to work on all the problems to become a class franchise again. This includes bringing in a QB for the post-Cutler era. This has to happen. It will happen.
