Getting this thread back on topic for a moment, I went into the best draft simulator on the web — www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/ —, and twice did a 4-round draft.
They have Boutte rated as a second round pick (#55), so I did the Colts deal and got him in the second round and two good OL in rounds 3 and 4. The first draft got Jaelyn Duncan (OT) and Joe Tippmann (C). The second draft got Luke Wypler (C) and Steve Avila (C or G). In the real world, I would go with the choice that best fits what OL Poles gets out of FA.
I would be very happy with either of these drafts. I seriously don't think Tyler Scott will be there in round 5. But I would take him as a bargaining chip when it is time to negotiate with Mooney. He could do a lot of what Mooney does, and he is faster than Mooney.
Really?
"When it comes to concerns, Scott has a lean build and won’t be known for winning with play strength. While he showcases good ball skills, he does fall victim to a fair amount of drops, often due to modest grip strength when attempting to squeeze and secure the ball. Surprisingly, Scott gained little experience at Cincinnati working from the slot, which figures to be more on his plate at the next level so gaining comfort there is something to monitor."
For someone who wants a slot receiver, thats an interesting choice...
Anyway, let’s assume Johnston, JSN, and Addison all go in first round and Bears do the Colt deal and get #35 in 2nd round. Give me your top 3 WR candidates.
