Assume the rest of the trade is Carter, #35 in 2023 and first round pick in 2024.
Just so I understand you correctly, there would not be any additional picks other that their two firsts (one in each year, '23 and '24) and the 2nd round pick #35? I'm not saying I am against that. Just making sure I understand the trade

Yes, that’s the mock draft on The Athletic. It could be a little different, but don’t assume it’s a Trey Lance type of deal.
TBH, I don't know enough about Pittman to judge. I don't want another Claypool type (mean that in a complimentary way). We have that already. We need a true #1 WR who can draw double-teams.
Nelson is/was an absolute stud (a rare iOL who was worth a top-10 pick) but he's had the injury bug lately and plays a lower impact position.
Buckner is good but not great, right? That's my impression of him.

I gotta research and think about this some more.
That's where I'm at on this too. I really don't know these players well at all. So, I'm going to follow David's thread here an learn from others who DO know.

I only picked Buckner because I rate DT > OG in terms of positional value. I'd either take Anderson if he is there at 4 or trade down again. Feels like adding one player (even generational) at the cost of adding multiple starters is not what the Bears need right now. But if Anderson is all that, adding Anderson and Buckner goes a long way to fixing the DL.
I would take Buckner > Pittman as well.
Its all up in the air right now and I reserve the right to change my mind at any notice.
Did some light reading on these guys. Preliminarily, here's what I've learned.
Buckner (DT) Oldest of the three at 28. Has a big contract (one of highest paid DTs) but is out of guaranteed money for 2023. Has had at least 7 sacks from DT position in each of last 5 seasons.
Nelson (LG) 26 yo Made 5 straight Pro-Bowls though 2022 season was a "down year" (imagine a down year is still PB-worthy). Got a big contract extension in 2022 but guess what? Indy has already paid his $31m signing bonus so isn't all that expensive going forward.
Pittman (WR) 25 yo Like Mooney, on rookie contract drafted 3 years ago so up for an extension now or next offseason Rising player, "WR1 in making", 90 recs & 1000 yards last 2 season w/ crap QB play
I saw a rumor somewhere from David Kaplan that the Colts were preparing a trade proposal that could include a couple players and a bunch of picks. So, I did "other" hoping for Buckner AND Nelson.

I went with Buckner. I've read as many trade scenarios as I could find and so far the Colts seem to be a solid scenario where we land at #4 after a trade down and DRAFT a prime DL or OL(insert your favorite).
Hopefully, this kings ransom will go up or someone will provide an offer Poles can't refuse.
