Sit him til, at least, the bye week. Chicago isn't playing for the post season so it would be pointless to risk his long term career with absolutely nothing on the line.

Selfishly, I want them to play him next week because its his non-throwing shoulder and I'll be at the game. The non-meatball side of me says he should sit.

Sit him. Nothing to play for this season. No need to risk longer injury. Now we get to see if Simien has better luck throwing WR open or not. This will also test Getsy as well. Make him improve.

My brother, who is a Colts fan, believes it's JF1 who is driving the offense. We'll find out real soon if Fields sits out a couple games.

He's probably right but I want to see how backup does and if he can find any open receivers or not. That will be more in what needs improving in offseason
I think they said on MNF that his shoulder is not dislocated. They let Jenkins decide himself not to play against the Falcons even though he was active for the game and Schofield crapped the bed in that game. Of course, we know Fields is a different kind of cat. If it’s just sore but he can throw OK, he’s going to want to play.
I read that, if it’s an AC joint sprain, he can play with it. Kyler Murray had it in his throwing shoulder in 2020 and didn’t miss a game. The article also says the Bears should rest him for two weeks to have him as ready as possible for the Packers game. I’d vote for that. They would have to put him in chains to keep him out of that game, if he can throw.
