I believe that's the Bear's 15th player on IR this season. That's ridiculous.
+1 And that's just on IR. I was thinking this morning... there's only 11 players on a D or O unit, and we have 15 players on IR alone. That doesn't even include the serious stuff that wasn't IR worthy. And it's not like it's just soft tissue injuries. It's everything from broken arms and legs to stuff like this.

Hopefully, having rehab-ed this once before, he can shave some time or at least not have setbacks. Somewhere the Bears random number generator got stuck on "screw the Bears."

Seriously. I've been a Bears fan for a long time, and I can't remember a year like this, injury-wise.
Bears inside linebacker Danny Trevathan ruptured the patellar tendon in his right knee Sunday and will miss the rest of the season, coach John Fox said Monday.
Such an injury requires surgery, and, given the normal timetable for recovery, Trevathan could miss at least the entire 2017 offseason program.
Trevathan, 26, was the Bears' most expensive free-agent acquisition in March. He signed a four-year deal worth $24.5 million, including $12 million guaranteed.
In nine games this season, he had 66 tackles (49 solo), no forced fumbles, no interceptions and one sack.
His injury leaves the Bears without their top two inside linebackers for at least three more games. Jerrell Freeman served the first game of his four-game PED suspension Sunday. Rookie Nick Kwiatkoski and young backup John Timu are in line to start Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
