The bottom-line for most fans is simply wanting the team to improve each year. That's all most of us ask for. Just get better. But watching this 2016 Bears team sure looks like we are going to struggle. Again. Bears fans deserve better than this.
I really believe we will end up in last place in the NFCN again this year. Floating in the toilet bowl, stinking it up again. In recent years we've become one of "those teams" that other NFL fans look upon like they stepped in a pile of dog crap. Disgusting franchise. Losing franchise.
cmon JABF! lets hope we can be above Lions, anything is not really realistic... but Lions, in fact they beat us both times last season, right?
Yeah, the sad thing is that the Detroit Lions have owned us in recent years. Swept us. When you are worse than the Detroit Lions year-after-year-after-year, that is bad. Real bad.

True, but first they lost Suh, now Calvin... if not now, when?

It's such a small thing to, wanting the team to just look better then the shit it did the year before; and the Bears are just mired in crap year and year.
+1,000 I was going to be okay, even if we lost the game. I just didn't want us to lose, while looking like a clown show. I was honestly stunned by how bad the team looked on offense... and LOL, I was not expecting much. Just throw us a bone and get more than 18 yards total offense with the starters in the first half. Is that too much to ask?
Our starting offense was embarrassing to watch. Pitiful.

our 1st O really looked like they just met and wanted to play some ball, maybe had a few beers too much before

They don't need much to beat us. A wheelchair football team could beat us right now. We are a bad team. A really really really bad team.
They had - 7 yards passing in the first half....how the #@&% do you do that!
It's a "gift" that the Chicago Bears have. We usually cook up excuses for the failures of our offense in general, and Jay Cutler in particular. This year we'll continue that scam. Then we'll begin looking forward to "next year"... it is what Bears fans do. I do know that I get tired of watching us look like a steaming pile of dog crap in these games year-after-year. I try to be a good fan, and continue to back the team. But Bears fans deserve better than what we are getting with this franchise.
I can hear it now, Loggains will claim the stench of the Trestman years is still in the locker room and has not been properly cleansed. I digress but I think the McCaskeys might force Pace to put him on a short leash if we have a weekly "clown show" on offense. But all 3 phase coordinators have to be accountable. Once the boo birds invade Soldier Field en mass it will get ugly.

The good thing is that the LoLions looked just as bad. It could be a sloberknocker to see who wins the basement of the North.

Hey JABF, is +1000 the same as a 10/10 football post, or where does it fall in the hierarchy?
I'm not sure what the answer is either but by now a team should be able to at least run it's base offense successfully. These are the 12-15 core plays every one should know their assignments on and be able to execute well.
The pure fact that they aren't even able to do that yet is maddening and if I'm Fox I'm asking for answers from my offensive staff now. From last week to this week they slipped right back in the hole again and looked like they did against Denver.
I also don't accept Cutler's we'll get it worked out. THESE plays should already be worked out and they should be so basic that even the backup can execute them better than this. If they play like this in the opener somebody better start to answer for it.
That sounds like Kenny Williams of the White Sox after 3-5 years of absolutely mediocre play and terrible drafting/FA.
Kenny Williams is an assclown. They can trade for or sign talent 'til he blue in the face but until they get rid of Ventura and change that losing culture that's shifted from the North Side to the South Side nothing will change.
Quintana is another of the best starters in MLB and every time he pitches they pickup the bats that repel baseballs the same way like poles of a magnet repel each other. Bring Joe Maddon in to manage that team and they'd be in the hunt for a playoff spot. Someone dig up Al Lopez and tell him he's needed.
