Of course. This AM Biggsy wrote in his column that the Bears have tied to appease Jay but surrounding him with talent. LMAO With the OLs he's had to play behind they should have saved the cash and surrounded him with pillows and mattresses to cushion the blows and his own medical staff to keep him on the field.
They've "tried to appease him by surrounding him with talent"!!!! LMAO...cause that shouldn't be the goal?! Your qb shouldn't be surrounded with talent?! Oh christ almighty!!! I wish they'd do a better job of "appeasing him"! How dare he want to be surrounded by other good football players...what a selfish bastard!
Lately even Biggsy has developed a hard on for Cutler.
I harken back to the day JA announced the trade claiming that he would make everyone he played with better. How'd that work out for ya' Jer.
JWebb and OMG still couldn't learn to pass block any better nor any of the other few dozen schlubs we've had playing in that OL. He couldn't make Hester into a 6'3" #1 WR OR teach him to run a pass route like it was drawn up. He couldn't even convince Martz not to ask JA to trade away the best pass catcher they actually did draft prior to AJ and he couldn't play MLB and run the defense after Emery dismissed Cutler and turned the defense over to Mel Tucker.
The trade for Cutler was nothing more than a typical Bears Bandaid we've seen so many times during the McCaskey era. We make some minor half hearted changes that are more window decoration than meaningful steps to rebuilding the franchise. Teddy Bear lobbies the media to praise it giving fans false hopes but within a few years we're right back to where we started. THIS has been the pattern of the entire ownership so I don't want to even hear another word from Ginny McCaskey about doing things her Dad's way. It's not even close to the way the old man did things.
Even these last moves have proven to me that none of this has changed but the Bears are IMHO 100% certain to move on from Cutler yet only 50% certain to move on from Fox and 0% certain to fire Ted Phillips and begin making a concerted effort to change anything from the top down like it should be done. Instead Cutler will be sacrificed for the fans sake because it will instill false hope again. Even though we're all well aware we have no viable replacement they will still sell the hell out of this and get the Chicago media to back them. Then, if we follow our usual course it will fail and they'll make more meaningless moves again just to create change and more false hope.
The McCaskey's as NFL owners have all the ability to make good on their promises as the Wizard of fucking Oz. They hide when things go south and use whoever they can to shout out pay no attention to those folks behind the curtain. Well I see them and I know who and what they are and my patience has run out. From here on in I don't want to be told a damn thing. I'm now from Missouri.......so show me you mean business. Go big or go home.
