John Fox on PED suspensions: ‘I don’t think this is unique to the Bears’
Nope just when you coach them and also those others you were coaching when it happened to another dozen or so of your players. I can't stand this guy any longer.
Lots of knee jerking for Fox's head lol not that he doesn't deserve the heavy criticism..but surely not the **** for this! Some of you guys have lost your god damn minds!
How the hell is Fox responsible for what others put in their bodies?
Maybe it is a Millennials thing i don't understand where the blame is pushed away from the guilty, but Fox is not their guardian angel who is suppose to be there to bring out the good in a man....Now if you want to hate Fox for his piss poor second halves then we would be seeing eye to eye..
I just kind of want to see Kawasaki play more lol sure he may not develop, but i can always watch plays like this over and over again...

+1 Players have been taking PEDs for decades now. They have been suspended from all 32 teams. For that matter PED use is a problem even in the high schools (they drug test the HS football players here anyway).
But somehow this is the coaches fault when it comes to the Bears?
Seqq, I agree with you. It seemed bat shit crazy to me to blame the coach. It must be the times we live in. No accountability for anyone anymore.

Well seqq I am not a Millennial by any means and my comments were based on that fact that John Fox's top shelf players on all three of teams he's coached have had suspensions like this so when there's a smoke trail out there I tend to follow it to find the fire.
With a history like that if I was John Fox I would have probably said nothing as opposed to using a lame excuse like "other teams have this issue too" so nanny nanny boo boo to all of ya'. Yeah they do, but this problem seems to follow him like stink follows a skunk.
If you didn't catch it previously the Bears had all of 4 PED suspensions in the 12 years preceding Fox's hire and this is either the 5th or 6th in the 1 1/2 years since his hire. You can see that as mere coincidence if you like but it raises questions with me because I'm like that and it fits with the all too casual way Fox tends to run his teams.
When you're losing games and players left and right to injuries that can't be helped and you lose two stars over something that can be helped maybe you do need to start paying more attention to what they're putting in their bodies. I might agree with you as it relates to you and me as adults but NFL football and it's players are a different culture so I don't look at it the same way.

Everyone knows it was Jerry.
I woke up this morning thinking about the craziness of this. Yes, by all means blame Fox if he is a bad football coach. That is appropriate. But these are grown ass men. If they choose to do drugs, that choice is on them 100%. It's like if I get arrested for doing drugs, it is not the fault of my boss at work. It is 100% on me. I chose to do something wrong. Not my boss.
Life is all about choices. LOL, my kids probably get tired of me saying this all the time, but it is true. Bad choices have consequences.
EDIT: Blame Seqq for my grouchy post. I was trying to keep my mouth shut on this... LOL, it's all Seqq's fault for my post. See how this is played. Nobody is responsible for their actions. It's always somebody else's fault :-)

Could also be a shift in the culture in terms of acceptability of anything to enhance performance. That would be Fox. Total and complete speculation and beings devils advocate ---- and that still does not absolve the individual who ultimately is the one responsible for what they are doing, but food for thought. We don;t have any real insights as to what is going on.

I've recounted my story of a coach in college who intimated I should start using steroids. I don't doubt it happens, but as Seqq and JABF pointed out, at the end of the day the choice was mine to make. I was responsible for that decision. So maybe Fox or someone on his staff recommends certain supps or illegal substances to players...but at the end of the day it's their decision to make. In Freeman's case I could almost guarantee it was for adderall or ritalin, as he mentioned he made a mistake with a prescription medicine.
I used to be a big time no steroid guy, but as I've grown a little, and come to understand how the human body works I have to tell you...I don't really mind if a guy is hitting the sauce. Especially in a game like football. A lot of times guys are not using it to gain an edge in performance...they're simply using it to recover from the shit they put their body through. Further, I think all men should be able to get TRT through their insurance. The medical benefits are astounding! If women can get estrogen paid for through their insurance why can't men get T through insurance when their body stops producing the amount it should be? It's hypocrisy and simply doesn't make sense all because people think T is some sort of boogeyman and all men will start going into steroid induced rages! LOL...what a joke! Sorry for the rant.
