So what your saying is that w/less oppertunities to actually get passes and make plays he is still better then Miller, gotcha.
I do believe that I've made that same point about him before and it's entirely possible they've noticed in in NE as well. Marty tends to free lance and not finishes his routes or adjust them on the fly which I watched cause two picks early last season.
All I'm saying is that Zach Miller has been a effective a receiver in this offense as Bennett has been in New England's and also as effective or more so as Marty was the last time he dressed for a game here. That's really all that counts because if Zach Miller was playing with Tom Brady his stats might be different as well.
So we can only compare their effectiveness to each team individually and to this point I'd call it parity. You however can call it what ever you like and I know you will. If you or anyone else can prove to me by these stats that somehow we lost a major contribution to our offense and scoring by trading Bennett I'll listen but I don't think anyone can. Brandon Marshall yes but Marty B no. Miller has very effectively replaced him....or at least he did. Now Braunecker will get his shot at it.
That's how NE plays it, that is not how Cutler and the Bears do it. 65 targets to less then 50 targets is the only reason their #'s are similar. While NE has a better QB that also means that no one, other then gronk, is going to get consistent looks.
If you aren't getting thrown the ball you cannot make catches and yards or TD's. And yet Marty equaled or bested Miller w/16 less targets, which again is about 2 or 3 three games worth of work for either of them. Marty is a far better TE, it's not close. Fox made a huge error when he decided to run w/one and not both; especially when the one he chose has proven he cannot stay healthy.
