EXCELLENT!!!!
Glad to hear it.
What happened?
(I missed the game - per the deflated football poll thread, I guess I didn't miss much.)
(I missed the game - per the deflated football poll thread, I guess I didn't miss much.)
Injured his neck. It was unclear for a while whether or not he was even able to move (as opposed to some of the linemen who we are pretty sure were not able to move. They played anyway)
It was a bad situation. Thought he might have been paralyzed there for a short period of time. Apparently he ended up being able to fly home with the team. Still not sure how bad it was or if there might be any repercussions or how long he might be out, if at all.

Wow. Sounds like it was bad when it happened. Hopefully he's okay.
That must have been the fastest rod implant on record anywhere. The team docs are getting really good at it.

It was a sight to behold. As he was falling, the team rodders were working on him. By the time he hit the ground, he was rodded up.
Seriously though, yeah.... it was a hold your breath moment. You hate to see a guy get paralyzed right before your eyes.

Probably had some tingles in the neck area and had him tested out of an abundance of caution ( which is what they should do ) . Still will probably be kept out for a couple of weeks just to make sure , but flying back with the team is a great sign .

Ric, you want to hold that injury against him? That would have happened to Marty too being in that same spot. That injury is bad luck and nothing because of his recent Problems.
German, name the season he played 16 games I'll wait. Hell he's only had 2 15 game seasons out of 7. The guy CANNOT stay healthy and CANNOT be relied upon to stay healthy and it was my #1 complaint about him going into the season after the draft and FA when no other TE was brought in.
Doesn't matter how good or bad you think he is, if he cannot be relied upon to be on the field; and I'm paraphrasing Big Cat and Olin w/this line.
