If ya wanna see a stand out QB, look no further but north of ya'll. We have the Grey Cup going on this coming weekend and non other then Henry Burris is front and center.
So tune in and prepare to be amazed at the size of our balls. Oh and btw it is in Toronto so you can also see our phallus shaped Tower!!!
Henry Burris ? You've got to be joking , Wtf is he like 45yrs old now ? And he's 'good enough ' to lead a team to such heights ? This has to be a put on . Is it the same Henry Burris who stunk it up with the Bears ?
HAHAHA 1 and the same. He has won 2 Grey cups as well as MVP in 1 of the games. He is also leading his team to its 2nd Grey cup appearance in a row. Hell he even holds a couple CFL records. BURRIS!!! WTF right? lol 45 completions in a single game, and 481 completions in a season. Amazing if you consider that there are only 3 downs in the CFL and it is BURRIS!!!! BTW he is 41.
The Bears aren't trading for Garropolo so all this talk is pointless .
+1 I'd like for us to draft our own Garropolo, Dak, Wilson type youngster. Other teams are doing this. Draft a good NFL player. Who knew you could do that? Draft your own NFL talent rather than mortgaging the farm for someone else's player. Imaging that.
I'm not sure if this will work or not. But I put together a spreadsheet of the QB's drafted over the past 20 years. I found it interesting, and thought I'd attach it here in case anyone else was curious.
I actually thought we'd drafted more QB's that this. I highlighted and bolded in red, our drafted QB's over the last 20 years in the chart.
If you click on the attachment it will download. You can then click on it and your browser will open it. Yes, it's safe. No malware :-)
Pace does deserve some blame for the QB situration.
Why didn't he draft Dak? We had 3 4th round picks and we didn't even attempt to draft a QB in that situation. Even if he wasn't good it would show that we're at least trying.
Now we're in a situation in which do we pass up on talent like Allen or Garrett for a QB in the first?
Could you alter that to drop 4-7th rounds? It might have more meaning.
Good work though.
I just finished it. I put it in its own thread, Ric. It is very interesting. We complain about how bad the Bears draft regarding QB's. But we really don't draft QB's much at all - and especially in the top-4 rounds. It is stunning to see that we are simply non-players in the draft when it comes to the QB position.
You can't have much success if you don't even try. It is shameful.

Hey if we had gotten 3 starters in the 4th round(not even pro bowl high level) then it'd be less of a complaint; but we didn't get a lot of high quality players in the 4th w/those picks.
