Neither of those are a big concern for me. He should have been starting since day 1 and IMO players can either play in the NFL or they can't.
Yep, I have no idea where the narrative that Fields is some sort of shrinking violet wallflower comes from. He played on college football's biggest stages in from of 100,000 people numerous times. The guy has way more big time experience than Zach Wilson or Trey Lance or Trubisky has/had.
Let him play. Take the handcuffs off and let him play.

Brasil, I do worry that Nagy doesn't have a clue about coaching offense in general, and developing Fields in particular. I hope I am wrong, and fully admit that I may be wrong. But let's just see how Nagy uses Fields and watch what happens. It could be good or bad. I'm just hoping Nagy doesn't crap the bed here. The last two years don't exactly give me confidence. But maybe Nagy will surprise us and be a solid coach. Fields? I believe Fields has the talent to play in the NFL. But I also believe coaching is important in the development of Fields.
To start the season, my concern stemmed around him being able to make the protection calls to protect himself. Referring back to the Buffalo game when he completely missed an obvious blitzing LB that lit him up. My other concern, for any QB much less any individual QB, was the OL. I wanted to see something from them to say they aren't a total liability – that and to get a base reading on average QB play behind the line and Justin.
I'm okay with Dalton starting, but the injury is a good excuse to make the switch. Absolutely "no" to Foles, lol.
