it's not all about deep verts w/speed anymore. It's just about seperation and forcing the other team to cover the entire field. ARob is essentially Watkins for the Chiefs, but will get more looks. Kmet/Graham/James will be more open in the middle as teams are spread thinner b/c of speed/improved talent at WR will force them to no longer get ignored as teams just double ARob and clog the run lanes.
if they do double ARob and clog the run lanes, look out. Speaking of that the run game should work better also.
The OL is a problem b/c regardless of the speed Nagy's playcalling is atrocious and every play seems to take 10 secs to develop, it's why Foles was calling him out last year. Then again so is Nagy.
It's going to take Fields 4-8 weeks to finally get in as the starter, min. If Dalton can connect w/these guys and isn't costing the team games he might be in there all year.
I'll wager you a large amount of money that won't happen.
Bears will be lucky to open better than 1-2. Keep in mind that starting 0-3 essentially ends your season as the historical chances of making the playoffs at 0-3 are single digits %. Pressure is gonna build on Nagy to make the switch pretty quickly and I don't mean just from meatball fans either. The locker room is gonna know who gives them the better chance to win.
I'll be shocked if Fields isn't the starter by Halloween.
You seem to have skipped the first part of that sentence. We agree, I said 4-8 weeks. Halloween is right in that 6-8 week timeframe.

No, I didn't skip anything. I highlighted what you said about Dalton maybe playing the whole year. I highly doubt that happens and would be willing to wager substantial amounts of money on it.
A) Fields is the better player and clearly has way more upside B) The locker sees that and knows that and Nagy will feel that pressure soon enough C) 1st round rookie QBs almost always get to start year 1 unless there's a HOF/Pro-Bowl QB already on the roster. (Dalton isn't that)
Bears are probably gonna get waxed on national TV week 1 and like I said they will be lucky to go 1-2 the first 3 weeks. I expect pressure will build quickly on Nagy to stop his ridiculous charade of "promising" Dalton the starting job when the circumstances have so clearly changed.
Wait until we see the Nagy "3 & out" offense with Dalton under center.

You did, you completely ignored that I said was likely to happen to bitch and moan about what I said could happen. I said probably 4-8 weeks, but could play the entire year IF something happens. You act as if it's impossible the team could be winning, its not. It's not likely, but it's not impossible either. Nothing is impossible until the event happens. The team COULD go undefeated, it's not likely, but it could. If it does they aren't switching qb's.
These are all true. And you disnt have to be a genius to figure it out at the time. Heck, we were talking about it here all the time. Only contract I would "take" is Jimmy G, but only cos he played better than I thought he will.
