I kinda did. Little to no guarantees on the contract, hasn't been with the team (albeit for a good reason), and not exactly viewed as a world-beater to start with. Now if Vildor didn't show promise – which he did, especially in man coverage – then I would be shocked.

I was expecting an open competition for the starting CB job. But I thought Trufant would at least make the roster. I predict the Bears are going to need all the helo in the world at the defensive backs positions this year. Letting Fuller go was a huge mistake, and Nagy is going to pay for it.

Johnson and Vildor better ball out in their sophomore years cuz right now the Bears CB group looks like a dumpster fire.
So it looks like Bears have signed Artie Burns,WR *Breshad Perriman* from the Lions and WR Nsimba Webster from 49ers.
Whhhyyy?! Is there something wrong with Goodwin? Perriman is like a discount Goodwin, worse catching and not as fast. Both have catch issues and are fast, but yeah...

Interesting question on twitter about if Pace or Nagy is behind the speed additions to the WR room. Wims/Ridley were not speed guys, Mooney/Goodwin/Boyd and new Perriman are. Team them with a good to great possession receiver in Robinson and look to add speed at TE, might be a turn toward a Nagy-stocked OFF.
I know they work hand in hand, but who builds the roster? Pace with Nagy's input or Nagy with Pace's approval?
