Maybe it's because I haven't followed football as closely the last two or three years, or maybe it's the growing parity in the NFL, but I had no idea who to pick on at least half of the games. lol Several of them seem like such a toss up. Should make for an interesting (and frustrating) pick-em year!

I was thinking the same thing. I figure we don't know much about most of these teams, but as the season gets underway we'll know more and it will get easier (a bit easier anyway) to set the teams each week. But this first one is a total crap shoot I think.
Each week, you'll find the appropriate thread and post your picks. Your six picks will consist of the following:
Game 1: Lock of the Week. - 1pt Game 2 : Divisional Matchup - 2pts Game 3 : Upset Special - 3pts Game 4 : Wildcard - 1pt Game 5: Highest-Combined Score - 3pts Game 6: Gamble Pick - +/- 2 pts Max weekly score - 12pts

I'll second this from Funky. I play this every year and it is a lot of fun (no, I never win). It only takes a minute or two to set your picks each week. Give it a try if you can :-)

Don't forget to assign Confidence Points to each game!
Confidence Points are used to give a different weight to each game in a given week. You'll assign a point value (from 1 to 16 if there are 16 games, 1 to 14 if there are 14 games, etc. during the season including playoffs) to each game based on how strongly you feel about the accuracy of your selection. If your selection is correct, you'll receive points equal to the confidence-point value you associated with that game.
So, if you pick Tampa to beat Dallas and assign the game a confidence point value of 16, you'd get 16 points for a correct pick, but no points if Dallas wins. You don't lose points for an incorrect selection.
If you forget to make a selection for an early week game, you can still select confidence points for the week’s remaining matchups.

You're not the only one. After all the crazy stuff that's happened during Covid, it's been kinda hard to keep up and know who's legit and who's not.
