Pre-draft (thinking like most of us that we had no shot at Fields), I posted here about 2023 being a realistic goal to shoot for as a turnaround target. By that I mean building a team that could consistently compete for playoffs & winning division titles, not just one-off postseason appearances here and there.
After landing Field, I'm moving that up to 2022.
If Rodgers and Green Bay do indeed go through with their divorce, I'm thinking 2021.
Don't want to get too far ahead of myself here but I originally was thinking Rodgers had a couple of elite years left in him and it would take that long to find and develop a QB anyway. If he is gone, the division i wide open and Fields could easily be the best QB in the NFCN by next season.
------------- I have been a Bears fan long enough to remember 30 years ago when the Packers did not have a HOF quarterback and Bears had a string of trash QBs. Who knows, maybe the tide is finally turning the opposite direction with Fields here and Rodgers gone. There is hope.
