I liked his response to this question. What do you think about Pace and Nagy's future here? Should they have a few years now that we have our franchise QB?
LINK ... "But I can tell you some people around the league believe the duo bought itself two more years at Halas Hall unless the team falls flat on its face in 2021. Chairman George McCaskey will dictate the future of the organization, and I’m sure he’s not making any major judgments based on a draft class without seeing anything unfold on the field. Others have suggested Pace and Nagy could have a plan to sit Fields for most or all of the season. My initial reaction to that is if Fields barely plays in 2021, there’s a good chance Dalton has taken the city by storm. Nagy isn’t in a position where he can keep rolling Dalton or Nick Foles out there if the offense isn’t playing well. So if Dalton remains entrenched, it’s probably because he and the offense are thriving. I don’t buy the idea Nagy wants Fields to sit behind Dalton for a season. I think he’s eager to watch Fields develop and grow. Why hold him back? Getting back to the future of the GM and coach, the trade up for a quarterback in Round 1 is why I told people it was best to view the team’s offseason plans through the lens Pace and Nagy were using. They needed a rookie quarterback with high upside to enhance their own opportunities for success. That’s why the move to draft a quarterback was not a surprise."
