I would think Leno would have had some trade value. No really sure what the plan is here. Gotta admit--this is a little aggressive for my taste until I see more.
What's there to see? He is a combined CAP & CollabAV casualty.
We did not get an AR replacement in the draft. If that had happened then sure, let our best O player walk. But we didn't get a top-tier WR in this draft. AR is in his absolute prime, 27 years old. Even with our crap QBs last year he was a top-10 WR in the NFL. My hope is that the Bears lock him up long-term now and he can be a rock solid asset to Fields. He is the best skill player on the Bears offense. Want to give Fields solid support so he can succeed? Sign Robinson.

Tanner Gentry still around? Asking for a friend....

It's probably easier to negotiate with AR now that the team has Fields. It was a hard sell with Dalton as the starter. Robinson might actually want to play with Fields. What a concept.
In England we’d describe this as a courageous move by Pace. 😂
"Courageous" in that it could blow up in your face. Going into the season with poor depth and 2 rookie OTs doesn't sound like a wise gamble to me. People LOVED bitching about Leno but they forgot what J'Marcus Webb and Frank Omiyale looked like. He wasn't anything beyond average but he was durable and proven.
Let's sign Mitchell Schwartz to a short-term deal.

Are Daniel Braverman and Dane Sanzenbacher available?
