Rodgers making headlines this morning stating he wants out and does not want to play for Green Bat again. Gotta love the pre-draft fireworks. Are we going to see a team pull a mega trade involving Rodgers today!?!?

If Aaron Rodgers retires, there is a real chance we could take the NFC North.
I doubt he retires but no question there's some serious fractures in the relationship there. He's angling to get out of GB (has the same agent that got Carson Palmer out of Cincinnati when he wanted) and I think that 2021 is his last year as a Packer. They didn't move up to take Jordan Love in the 1st to let him spend his whole rookie contract on the bench.
It's obvious what's going on here behind the scenes. GB wants to give Rodgers a contract that maximizes his trade value for a year from now. Rodgers wants a contract that reflects his full value (i.e., HUGE) and gives him multi-year guarantees. He's pissed they won't do it and now wants out.
Bears gotta be thinking strategically here. Remember when I said Bears should be planning for 2023? Well, with Fields move that up to 2022. We should be ascending just as all 3 other NFCN teams are starting a QB transition. That's why I want Fields out there this year at least 8 games for experience. I want him ready for 2022, cuz if Rodgers is gone, suddenly the division is wide open for the taking.
