I would be interested in Stafford but I think I'm the only one.
Me too except I don’t see the Lions trading him to us unless we massively overpaid which with Pace I could see it! 🤣🤣
I know what the arguments against him on this board are: (1) Stat complier (which I struggle to understand--take a guy who has more 4,000 passing seasons than the entire Bear's history of QBs and this is somehow a bad thing? With an improved DEF (We hope) and an improved OL (which everyone claimed was happening at the end of the season--this being Nagy's fault that they didn't see it sooner) Stafford makes the whole OFF better and he'll never underthrow or overthrow Mooney.
(2) Injured a lot -- this argument is that our first round pick (20th) will somehow turn out to be a better player going forward than Stafford. So...if they draft an OT and he doesn't work out...what was the loss?
(3) Need an OT in the first--except everyone says its a deep draft in OT, someone will slide to the second.
I'd offer our first and that's it. Take it or leave, no negotiating. Vet, established QB who is better than any QB the team has ever had, $20 mil for a decent cap hit, trading a not-decent first round pick for an established vet (kind of like Belichik does all the time.)
Don't see the downside here. But Detroit will never trade him to a division rival.
And no thanks, guy is Cutler lite. Everyone bitches about the Bears not drafting a qb, then wants to trade assets for a qb that will then prevent them from draft said qb.

Yeah, he's not going in the division--I'm thinking Indy, NE,...
I have absolutely ZERO interest in Stafford. Good QB yes but not that good.
A) He's a garbage time stat gatherer. For years he put up huge numbers for naught.
B) He hasn't shown the ability to elevate his team. If he was the kind of QB who could get you the the promised land, he would have gotten to the playoffs more than once every eight years and maybe won a playoff game. He's done neither.
C) Like Cutler, he can make great throws but too often is marred by soul-sucking picks.
D) Trubisky beat him like 5 out of last 6 ... enough said?
