He is only 25 years old and a 3-time Pro Bowl QB (2018, 2019 & 2020). Do you realistically think Pace could make this happen? How would you feel about him in a Bears uniform with Foles as the backup this year? What do you think it would cost to pull this off?

I'm just curious.
What do we have to trade for him?
3 first round picks is far too much...
If anything I go with 2 1st round picks, Eddie Jackson, 4th round for Watson and a 6th round pick.
Foles as backup? No, give us a young qb who has the ceiling to become a mid tier QB as a backup. Like most teams do.

I'm at the point now that I'd give about anything to have a 25 year old quarterback who has been a Pro Bowl QB the last 3 years. Just to stop the pain. You guys all know how much I don't like giving up draft picks. But I'm thinking it would be worth it if we solved the QB woes that have dogged the franchise for 30+ years now. The only reason I mentioned Foles as backup is that I think he's here for another year... but maybe not if someone would take him off our hands. And I agree with you motm about drafting a young QB no matter what they do. But if they would acquire Watson, then that 1st round pick gets changed to OT to bolster the OL. And if this draft is as good and deep at OL as they say, then I'd come back in the mid rounds for another "project" OT.

Do I think Pace could make this happen? No...because I don't think Houston will trade him...but if he were traded here I would be friggen ELATED!
He's who I wanted the Bears to draft, and if he were to end up here I'd be like a pig in shit. He'd help solve some of our remaining o-line issues...especially since we now seem stronger up the middle, which for a running QB like him helps a lot. He's got the arm to throw the deep ball to Mooney with room for him to run...I'd love everything about it.

At this point, with as discouraged as I am, I'd offer Mack + 2 1sts. And probably be willing to sweeten from there if needed. It's to the point where there's almost no price that is too high as I have zero confidence in Pace/Nagy to find their own guy.
This franchise has no chance without a QB and it has no shown no ability or even willingness to draft and develop one. How ironic would it be if Ryan Pace ended up spending 3 1st round picks to acquire the QB he could have drafted for one in 2017 and probably already won a SB with?
What a clown he is.
But at least George McCaskey can point to how gracefully the Bears lost 6 straight this year as justification for sticking with these fools.
PS: don't get your hopes up because Houston isn't gonna trade Watson

I wanted him drafted as well. Internally ownership would undoubtedly question Pace’s draft ability as they could of had him to begin with and now their paying a potentially steep price instead. Guess he’d have “some ‘splainin’ to do”...
