The rumor flying around the NFL right now is #Bears will retain GM Ryan Pace & coach Matt Nagy into 2021. That's what folks working in the league have heard. We'll see if team has something this evening but that is the chatter that's out there right now.
Bc the mccaskeys said said so. That's how it works. He works for them and they are the ones making the decision.
So accept mediocrity is what you're saying?
If that is how the McCaskey's feel then its time to hurt their bottom dollar.
you got 2, no3 choices. 1) accept and watch 2) dont accept dont watch 3) be an owner and make the decisions
Of the 3 only the 3rd has any power to make changes directly. Motm if youhwvr 1/2 billion I suggest you form a coalition to get the rest of the money needed to buy the team. If not, and dont want to "accept mediocrity", which the pace/nagy era has not been, then stop watching. Not giving them your money or time is the only way a fan can impress upon the team to make changes. It worked for the Cubs fanbase.
As a Bears fan we don't control any of this. We never have. We hope for better. If an 8-win team and one-and-done playoff appearances is where we set the bar for success, I wish we had just kept Mediocre Angelo and Mr. Mediocre himself, Lovie Smith. I mean, why change if this is how we define success?
Does anyone believe Phillips/Pace/Nagy are going to take the Bears anywhere beyond mediocrity? No. I didn't think so. Oh well.

From what I've read on the board here, it sounds like Pace got a year extension to line up his success or failure with Nagy's tenure as coach. So they both have two years left on their deals. With no box office revenue, I didn't think ownership would make a drastic management move this year.
I hope Pace does not give his input on the QB situation. Let the scouts and Ragone and Defilippo have their say and listen to them. Just do something other than what he has been doing for offensive player evaluation.
