That's pretty sobering stuff there. Nagy's offense in 50 games has had 18 games where they scored 1 touchdown or less. And if you excluded the garbage TDs at the end of losing games it would be even more. This is our offense "guru" guy who was hired as an offense coach? How many games have we watched where the Bears had 3 points on the board total, well into the 3rd quarter?

If you look at Nagy's ability to adjust in game his Q3 is pretty damning stuff not only the season but his career. Another ominous sign is after bye weeks. When given more time to prepare than his opponents Nagy's teams actually do worse.

But...but...but....Nagy is above .500 and has been to the playoffs twice!

It's a tease. We can beat the bad teams and claw our way to mediocre seasons most years. To be honest I'd rather see the team really bad or really good. The mediocrity just doesn't do it for me as a fan. If I looked at this 2020 team and felt there was enough there to give me warm fuzzies about Pace having a 7th year in his quest to find a QB, or Pace in his 4th year showcasing he really is an offense "guru" after all... that would be different. But I don't see much hope there.
But yeah we will have another 8 win season next year (probably) with Foles at QB. Oh well... such is the life of a Bears fan, right?

You're an optimist, JABF.
I think we are looking at 5-11. The D is aging.
Naw, we have Ryan "Draft King" Pace who's gonna draft us the next Tom Brady. Now. Not a guy who "performs" like Tom Brady. I'm talking about a 6th round draft pick QB. LOL, he'll probably trade two 1st round draft picks to move up in the 6th round to do it :-)
