4 coaches in a decade. Maybe, and I'm just spit balling here, it might take a coach a bit more than 2 years to get the job done. As I've said before...I'd have been good either way, but I'm not mad Nagy is going to be brought back...I think he's a good HC. I saw this somewhere and I'll repeat it here: I'm not sure why all of you expected a coach 8 games over .500 and 2 playoff appearances in 3 years would be fired. Say what you will about how they got there, but it is what it is. There's a lot of teams who wish they were in the playoffs 2 out of 3 years.
Do I think there are things on this team/organization that need to be fixed? Yep. But I'm not 100% sure Nagy is one of them.
Taking this approach couldn’t the same be said about Trubs. Over 500 record, good TD to INT ratio, reasonable rating, has lead the team to two playoff appearances in the last 3 years and yet here we are calling for his head and he’s a bust?
Not necessarily. Trubs is 22nd in QB rating among active QB's. Is that reasonable? He's 23rd in TD percentage...is that good?
Matt Nagy has the same record and winning percentage as Frank Reich...is Frank Reich a bad coach? Which team has the better players on it?

Nagy inherited in 2018 (yes, "inherited" cuz he neither assembled nor developed any of it) a great defense headed by a great DC. The D, which Nagy had almost nothing to do with, carried that team to a 12-4 record. The O, which he was directly responsible for, sputtered badly starting about week 10 that season and has cratered ever since. I've pointed this out many many times here.
The O was low-average in late 2018 and has been bottom-5 ever since. Nagy is 16-16 as HC since the end of the 2018 regular season and 16-18 if you include the 2 playoff losses. I repeat for the 45th time: the offense in 2018 was largely carried by a great defense that took the ball away 37 times, forced many short fields, dominated TOP, and scored 7 defensive TDs. Normalize out those outsized contributions and the offense that season was average at best and below average late in the season and in the playoff game vs Philly. It's been total garbage ever since.
Nagy is living off the laurels from 3 seasons ago and most of the credit for that season belong to a unit and coordinator he HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH.

Let me ask you a couple of questions: Did Nagy keep Fangio on board? I mean Fox had Fangio and that defense and he only won 5 games...right? So please...do tell what the difference was that added 7 more wins to the win column in a year? Clearly, according to you, it was not Nagy...he was just like Trestman...standing in the back of the room during team meetings.
Nagy's record is what it is. You want to play the "if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle" game.

I’d point at Khalil Mack being the difference maker from 2017 to 2018. Nagy’s record the last 2 years “is what it is” and it is not what wins championships.

Khalil Mack added 7 wins to the win column? Guy should have been MVP then!
