I'm with ya. If your HC is such a coward that he won't even take a shot to win a PLAYOFF GAME, then why the hell is he the HC?
Bears were big underdogs, no secret there. Only chance for them to win was to hit some big plays and capitalize on opportunities. Other than the flee-flicker, Nagy/Lazor/Mitch never even tried. Defense kept them in the game and even forced a TO, yet still the offense acted like kicking a couple FGs would be enough.
I was really surprised that the Bears defense held up so well against the Saints offense. They had all their weapons at full strength, while the Bears were missing three starters, especially Smith. When we get Eddie Goldman back next year, the Bears will be ROCK SOLID on defense until we get injuries to key players.
The Bears offense, however, is a real mess. The highest priority is to resign Robinson, and draft best available QB in the first round (I am hoping for Trey Lance). Let Trubisky go — we can’t afford him and Robinson both. Besides, he is too limited to compete in the playoffs. He makes poor decisions under pressure, and that’s what playoff football is all about. As for the front office, I would be happy to start over. Pace especially has to go!
