Miller is just a dumbshit knucklehead, simple as that. Just like Antonio Brown is and Johnny Manziel & Josh Gordon & Ryan Leaf were. These guys get warned and are given multiple extra chances and they still screw up.
Some people---politically incorrect moment coming here---simply lack proper impulse control.
Miller lost his job to a 5th round rookie cuz he was constantly screwing up last few years being out of position, not knowing where to line up, running the wrong routes, etc. The guy either is dumber than a box of rocks or he lacks the focus to be successful in the NFL.
Bears should cut him and Wims tomorrow to send a signal that this crap won't be tolerated any longer. Miller is a FA after 2021 anyway and neither of these 2 is good enough to put up with their stupid crap.
Hoge and jahns post game podcast on the athletic have a great take on this. 2 pts It's one the players bc they were specifically told about this dude, had a detailed meeting about him.
It's also saying a lot about the coaches(not just nagy) that the players arent paying attention to what they are saying.
Said that by keeping wims on the team it negatively impacted this game in 3 ways 1) miller likely doesnt react knowing wims was fired over it 2) wins isnt there to drop the easiest td pass ever 3) the refs likely arent as tight and on edge during this game, said the refs knew about what happened earlier in the season and from the get go called a very tight game, theorized that kmet isnt likely called for that bs penalty if wims isnt there.
Also pointed out that wims isnt a good enough player to keep after said incident, and pointed out last offseason he swung a helmet at another player
Wims was a late 3rd day pick, so he's done about what I expected. Miller, on the other hand, all the writers were drooling over his first PS/TC. He might turn into one of those guys who needs to get cut and then resigned for the vet minimum before he grows up. It will be interesting to see what happens with those two this off season.
Personally, I'd move on, but the cupboard is really bare at WR. Without Robinson its...Mooney and Ridley I believe. They'll need to break camp with at least 5. Going to be interesting.

Was thinking same thing -- if Nagy had a specific meeting about this and his players (Dumbshit Miller at least) didn't listen, that says a lot.
You're right that Wims should have been cut the day after that RS game against Saints. He's not good enough by a long shot for extra chances. Miller has had LOTS of extra chances and isn't good enough for any more. Dude is talented by has shit for brains. He's a FA in one more year anyway and you're not gonna re-sign him (again, not good enough to justify it), so just CUT HIM AND WIMS TODAY.
Miller is almost as bad a Pace-bust as Shaheen was. We spent a 2nd and a 4th on this guy--he had a promising rookie year but has royally sucked ever since.

Wims and Miller both need to be replaced by better players as soon as the Bears can. LOL, though. The player wish list is growing :-)
