Good point, how could I forget Clutts. We gotta find where he's at now and sign him too. Undrafted out of Fresno State and later with the Sacramento Mountain Lions.
One thing we do know. If we sign these 4 guys we will 100% DOMINATE teams in the Pre-Season games in 2021.
Is Tanner Gentry available?
We need a WR to replace the mighty Wims.
He was playing in the XFL until it went bankrupt. I think he's selling cars at a Ford dealership in Scranton PA now. I'll bet Pace could trade 2 or 3 of our first round draft picks and get him signed... although what the dealership would do with NFL draft picks is beyond me (Pace would still want to compensate 'em for taking their salesman off the lot like that). It's not like our draft picks are important. Right?
Ryan Pace's greatest mistake here was his failure to franchise tag Sowell when he had the opportunity. I think the best move Pace can make in the off-season is to somehow, someway, sign the "Big 3" - Bradley Sowell, Harvey Unga & the pride of the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Air Currie.
The O gameplan just like last week was never about trying to win, it was hoping to keep it close and having a lucky bounce or 2.
That is on Lazor and Nagy. Mitch was fairly on point with some of his deeper throws, so why not try and stretch the field.
One of Mitched better qualities is his 2 min drills, why essentially take a knee with 2 time outs and a buck 30 on the clock?
They didnt play to win the game, and they didnt win the game bc of it.
I couldn't agree more. Why? That I don't know. It was win or go home so what's the point of turtle'ing?
Just like last week, beyond the flee-flicker, Nagy/Lazor/Mitch never challenged the goal line once and threw way short of the line to gain on almost every 3rd down. Once again, it was dump the ball off to Kmet or Monty and ask them to break 3 tackles to get the 1st. Just ridiculous.
And we all noticed that massive turtle just before half. Bears strategy of deferring the KO actually worked. Even with the Wims drop, Bears were still in the game with the ball, 1:30 left on the clock and 3 TOs. Heck, even a FG makes it a one-score game and you get the ball to start the 3rd. Nagy just ran out the clock and punted...IN A PLAYOFF GAME!
Inexcusible
And here's the irony of ironies: the flee-flicker bomb that Wims jacked up was probably the best deep ball I have seen Mitch throw in 4 years. The timing, arc, and distance were all picture perfect. That's the football-gods laughing your face right there.
I voted for Wims. In a game where the Bears struggle to score, dropping a TD pass is a killer. He's also the guy who got suspended two games for starting a fight the last time we played Saints. He is not reliable. Cut him.
