Chicago Bears sneak into playoffs, but shouldn’t feel confident By Ryan Heckman - January 3rd, 2021
Well, there you have it. The Chicago Bears are in the postseason.
Somehow, some way, the Chicago Bears found a way to get into the 2021 NFL Playoffs. Actually, it wasn’t entirely their own doing.
With the Arizona Cardinals losing to the Los Angeles Rams, it didn’t matter the outcome of the Bears’ final game against the Green Bay Packers. Although, putting up a much better fight would have been nice to see.
There will be fans who clamor, “The Bears had it 21-16 into the fourth quarter. They played the Packers tough.”
In the end, a team either made the playoffs. Or they didn't. We did.
This team has been in the playoffs in 2 of the past 3 years since Nagy has been here & one of those years was a division championship year. I'm not saying he's a great coach, and I've been hopping mad at him - often. But prior to his arrival, the Bears had experienced losing seasons for 4 straight years.
Do I feel "great about making the playoffs?" Not great, but I do feel better than I did during those 4 years of losing seasons and being dead-last in the NFCN. The Bears have a long ways to go to get better. But I am not going to feel bad about being in the playoffs this year. I feel pretty good about it actually :-)
It will be even better if we can pull an upset on Sunday over the Saints, and yes, that is possible. It's that any given Sunday thing ya know... anything can happen in the playoffs. Even to the Bears :-)

Peckers are #1 seed, we are last seed. But, yes, that's an improvement. But I am damn sick and tired of 20-some years of losing to those dirty cheaters from up north. I will not be truly happy until we restore our series lead and win a few more superbowls. I just hope they can do it in our lifetime.
