I am so pumped for this upcoming Bears-Packers game. Holy cow it would be incredible to win and EARN that playoff shot. This is everything that's good about NFL football. A 100 year old rivalry between two of the league's storied franchises... a January game outside in the cold on the frozen turf of Soldier Field. Papa Bear Halas and Vince Lombardi looking down on it all. Yes, the Bears are not that good this year and the Packers are having a great year. But you know, over the past 60 or so years I've followed this rivalry it seems like you can throw the record out the window because there have been countless upsets (both ways) when these two teams meet.
If we do win then people can shut up about the Bears "not deserving to be in the playoffs" - because they will have earned the right to play in the playoffs. Bigtime.
I was SHOCKED the Packers blew out the Titans... The Titans are VERY good and I expected them to win... Next week is basically a playoff game for both teams... You have a massive gauntlet to run though staring with GB.. You beat them then it's likely at SEA or GB/Saints again the next week. Div round at SEA/GB/Saints.

It was a really good game to watch last night. The Titans threw a lot at GB and the Packers showed a lot of resilience taking their best shot and then hammering them back. No team is perfect. All have their flaws, even the best of teams. But this Packers team is one of the best balanced Packers teams that I can remember. They are the #1 offense in the entire NFL in points per game at (LINK). Bears are now at 18th in the NFL. The Packers are also 7th in the entire NFL in defense YPG allowed (LINK). Bears are 11th. The Packers are the complete package this year and led by a Hall of Fame level QB.
I think GB has a legit shot at winning it all this year. I really do.

This is a must win for all the teams involved. As far as the Bears are concerned, if they lose and miss out on the playoffs, that loss to the Lions is going to sting more than it already has.

I agree. My hope is that the Bears win. But if they don't win, I at least hope we see them play a solid game against (arguably) the best team in the NFL. Packers have the #1 offense (LINK) and #7 defense (LINK) - and have a Hall of Fame level QB playing his best ball right now. There would be no shame in the Bears falling a bit short in this game if they at least showcase that they are a team on the way up who can go toe-to-toe with the best teams in the NFL now with this Lazor-led offense and a very young OL that has looked legit with the new/young guys playing. I don't believe in "moral victories" but I think it would still be good to see the Bears play well against the best.
