I don't think the Bears should skip drafting a QB in 2021 nor in 2022.
In Franchise QB I wasnt referring to Arodg level (which would be incredible) who will finish on the Mt Rushmore of QBs when his career is over
Imagine if the Bears had drafted a Matt Ryan, Phillip Rivers, Big Ben, Tony Romo, Matt Stafford level QB. Bears have never had a QB this good nor will they ever have one of this caliber if they don't draft QBs.
but I'm saying do both. Draft QBs every year until you find that guy. Draft a QB next year and year after and on and on until you have an upgrade. I'm merely saying we can also win with Trubisky while we search. Just because the Chiefs had Alex Smith doesn't mean they stopped going after QB. Steelers draft QBs regularly. Wentz was the guy (they thought) but they still went after Hurts. Favre - Rodgers - Love.
This ^^^^^
I totally agree. Both. Trubisky is your floor, your Alex Smith, but go for the ceiling at QB, your Mahomes. If our floor is the Lazor/Trubisky offense, well, that's a decent starting place. Keep pulling that draft trigger until you get something better. In the meantime, scoring 30+ points a game is better than a sharp stick in the eye.

I feel like Nagy has to go in order for Trubisky to want to stay (keeping Lazor). I think the relationship between Mitch & Nagy has been poisoned at this point.

I can't imagine Mitch having any interest in Nagy after these last couple seasons, I think you're absolutely right.

So that sets up an interesting dynamic. Let's say Mitch plays well last 2 games. And Pace survives.
If he wants to try to re-sign Mitch, he will have no choice but to fire Nagy.

If this Lazor/Mitch offense continues to the end of the season looking this good and scoring 30+ppg, then if I'm Pace I'm so pissed that Nagy screwed up the offense for these past two seasons... that I am more than happy to boot Nagy out the Halas Hall front door. In fact, if I'm Pace I am even more pissed due to the fact Nagy pretty much tanked my #2 pick-of-the-draft QB (not saying Mitch is great by any means... but he is so much better with Lazor now & Nagy has been exposed as being toxic to the O in general and Trubisky in particular). Nagy screwed things up so bad that now Pace is sweating over his own job security. I think Pace would be more than happy to give Nagy the boot now. LOL, I'll bet Nagy isn't exactly on George or Virginia's Christmas card list either :-)

Nagy got us fooled with that Coach of the year shit. Well, as it turns out, no Coach of the year without Fang.
Priory: 1. Keep Pace, fire Nagy, fire Pagano, draft a QB in the top 2 rounds 2. Interview Brandon Staley for HC 3. Depending on new HC, attempt to keep Lazor as play-caller 4. If Lazor is held, retain Trubisky
Question, how much would Nick Foles cost the team if he's cut before the 2021 season?
Spotrac says this — POST 6/1 RELEASE
2021 Dead Cap: $11,666,666 ~ ($12M) 2022 Dead Cap: $2,666,668 ~ ($3M) 2021 Cap Savings: $-5,000,000
What does that mean? Are the bears beholden to $15M or $20M in cap over the next two seasons? And $12M or $17M in cap next season?

Playoffs or not, I want Nagy gone. He is not the Offensive Genius like he claimed to be. Plus his stuborness cost the Bears a chance to get into the playoffs.

Exaclty. Nagy is a one trick poney. It may work in KC, but not with the Bears.
